We provide Free Maternity Care in partnership with our local maternity hospitals.

To register for Free Maternity Care (Also Known As The Mother and Infant Scheme) you need to make an appointment to see one of our GPs early in your pregnancy (preferably before week 12) and sign a form at that first appointment.

We will help to guide you through what is an immensely rewarding and sometimes challenging time.

{The care for other illnesses which you may have during pregnancy, but which are not related to your pregnancy, is not covered by the Scheme.}

After your baby’s birth, book in for a 2 week and a 6 week check.

The doctor will examine your baby at 2 weeks and both mother and baby at 6 weeks. This gives Mum and Dad an opportunity to ask questions. Write down any queries you have before you come. Please let reception know that you are booking a 2 or 6 week check so they can allocate enough time.
