Dr John Ryan
The practice was originally founded by Dr Patrick Ryan in 1939.Dr John Ryan joined his father in the practice in 1979. He has always been interested in Primary Care Team development and was instrumental in the building of the Irishtown and Pearse St Centres and in setting up the teams. He is a member of the Irish College of GPs, The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs in London. He has a masters degree in Medical Science and higher diplomas in Occupational Health and Dermatology. He has an ICGP certificate in Diabetes Management and the practice is part of the East Coast Diabetic Shared Care Programme. His main interests are in Paediatrics, Diabetes and Dermatology. He is also involved in Undergraduate Education in TCD and UCD. He is a Lecturer in GP in UCD. |
Dr Miriam Daly
Dr Miriam Daly has been a GP in Irishtown and Sandymount since 2000. She has a Masters in Women’s Health and was Director of theWomen’s Health Programme in the Irish College of General Practitioners from 2009 to 2018. She has a special interest in contraception, breast disorders, menopause, menstrual disorders and antenatal care. Miriam has a Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has 25 years experience treating childhood illnesses in primary care. Miriam has a Diploma in Sports Medicine, has played hockey herself at international level and has an interest in diagnosing and managing sports injuries. Miriam also has a Diploma in Occupational Health and does pre-employment medicals. |
Dr Doreen Myers
Dr Doreen Myers joined the practice in 2008. She is a vocationally trained GP who has clinics in both Sandymount and Irishtown/ Ringsend. She has a Diploma in Dermatology and has a special interest in skin conditions. She also provides a range of services in women's health (including Mirena insertion, smears, antenatal care). She is a Member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, as well as having a Higher Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly. |
Dr Suzanne Murphy
Dr Suzanne Murphy graduated from UCD in 2010 and is vocationally trained, obtaining her membership of the Irish College of General Practice in 2016 from the Royal College of Surgeons training scheme. She has post graduate diplomas in Women's health and Paediatrics as well as Professional Certificates in Dermatology, sexual health and contraception/LARC.
Her interests include Paediatrics, Women's health and Preventative medicine and outside of work she enjoys pilates, reading and spending time with her two little girls.

Dr Ronan Bredin
Dr Ronan Bredin graduated from UCD Medicine in 2010. He completed the UCD Specialist Training Programme in General Practice. He has a special interest in Care of the Elderly and has a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians London. He is interested in all things medical and his other qualifications include Membership of the Irish College of GPs MICGP, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland MRCPI and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London MRCP(UK). He plays tennis (badly!) and loves a good sea swim. He is the proud dad of a little girl. |
Dr Nicola Cochrane
Nicola graduated from UCD Medicine 1993 and trained in General Practice completing MRCGP in Edinburgh 1998. A founding member of Carrig Clinic in Greystones Co Wicklow which was established 2004 , Nicola continued training and experience in Sexual & Reproductive Health Care while managing her GP Practice. She has expertise in Forensic and Legal Medicine and worked as a SATU doctor in Rotunda and with Spirasi Dublin as a Forensic Medical Examiner. She works for Safetynet Dublin in Inclusion Health Hub and with Dr Deirdre Lundy in Specialist Clinics for Mirena IUD and Complex Menopause Clinic in National Maternity Hospital, Dublin. She has worked as a GP Trainer with RCSI Scheme in Dublin and provides Education and training for GPs as both a LARC trainer and BMS Menopause Trainer. She is a current Board Member of Menopause Society of Ireland. Nicola has a Diploma in Infectious Diseases and is a HSE Approved PrEP Provider and works as a Tutor in RCPI Diploma in Infectious Diseases. |
